PureTimer Support
Need help getting through your rounds, the tip jar, or workout setup? This page covers the essentials.
Frequently Asked Questions
How does PureTimer work?
Set your work interval, your rest interval, and the number of rounds. Tap start once and PureTimer cycles through every phase automatically.
Can I lock my phone during a workout?
Yes. PureTimer is built to keep running when your phone is locked or when you briefly switch apps during training.
Will it interrupt my music or AirPods audio?
No. The app is designed to play its timer cues over your audio so you can keep your workout music going.
What does the tip jar do?
It is simply a way to support development. Live Activity, Dynamic Island, Home Screen controls, and the rest of PureTimer are free for everyone.
Does PureTimer require a subscription?
No. PureTimer does not use subscriptions, and all features are included for free. The tip jar is optional.
Does the app remember my setup?
Yes. Your latest interval and rounds settings are saved automatically so you can jump back into your next workout faster.
Troubleshooting
I do not hear timer sounds
Open Settings inside PureTimer and check that your sound preset is enabled. Also make sure your device volume is up enough for gym use.
Live Activity does not appear
Live Activity also depends on device support. Make sure it is enabled in PureTimer settings and that Live Activities are allowed for the app in iOS.
Widget controls look unavailable
Make sure the Home Widget option is enabled in Settings, then refresh the widget if needed. Everything is already included.
Haptics are missing
Check the haptics toggle in PureTimer settings. If your device is in a mode that reduces haptic output, the feedback may feel lighter than usual.
